My introduction to the roofing profession began in sales and estimating when Hurricane Ike hit the Texas coast in September of 2008.  While training with a roofing company, I established a solid foundation for wind related damage assessment and repair vs. replacement requirements of various roofing systems. I continued, in the years to follow, working in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas, coordinating sales and restorations related to hail, wind, and tornado property losses. During those years, I had inspected thousands of roofs including shingle, tile, metal, slate, asbestos, wood shake and shingle, modified bitumen, and built-up roof systems. I have had the opportunity to work for multiple roofing companies from the smallest of operations to some of the largest.  My involvement in every aspect of the roofing process from the initial inspection, the insurance process, and production / job site management for thousands of roof repairs and replacements has educated me on the variety of circumstances and situations that can present themselves in an industry filled with many different ideas and standards. I returned to Florida in 2012 and worked to obtain my public adjusters license, which I still hold. I have assisted hundreds of policy holders to negotiate fair claim settlements for all typically named perils in the insurance contract. I have a reputation in the industry for being accurate, fair, and impartial, regardless of the client and who will benefit from the outcome of my findings. I have spent 2 years of my career involved with consulting services for major insurance carriers, both plaintiff and defense law firms, appraisers representing carrier or insured, and adjusters. I have inspected, adjusted, estimated, and/or consulted on more than 5,000 roofs in my career and have been deposed for trial in numerous cases involving storm related roof damage. As a public adjuster, I have settled more than $5,000,000 worth of losses for my clients.
